The joy of having so many photos is that I can see the progress of each child – something that never fails to inspire and amaze me.
In the case of tiny Savon, the first year was all about keeping her alive. She had several serious medical problems, starting with severe malnutrition. Savon made it through these tough times.
Savon and my late-father developed a bond. Despite an 80 year age gap, they both seemed so alive when they were together.
My dad passed away and Savon continues to thrive. I watch over her, knowing that my dad is watching over me, ensuring Savon is well-cared for.
A happy wee story that still gets me emotional!
